This course provides newly licensed REALTORS with a practical introduction to residential mortgage financing and its impact on the transaction process. Participants will learn the role financing plays in determining a buyer's purchasing power\, how to interpret prequalification and preapproval documentation\, and the importance of complying with the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA).The course explores the fundamentals of FHA\, VA\, conventional\, USDA\, Maryland Mortgage Program\, and renovation loan products\, including key qualification requirements\, down payment options\, credit considerations\, and appraisal standards. Attendees will also gain insight into evaluating lender communications\, advising buyers on responsible mortgage shopping\, and understanding financing contingencies within the sales contract.Through real-world examples and transaction scenarios\, students will learn how financing decisions affect contract negotiations\, contingency management\, and successful closings.
