DESCRIPTION:Contracts Law Review\nTopic "F" | 1.5 HoursA strong understanding of contract law is essential to protecting clients\, reducing risk\, and ensuring successful transactions. This course provides Maryland real estate professionals with a practical review of the legal principles that govern real estate contracts\, with a focus on current laws\, common challenges\, and frequently misunderstood provisions.Participants will revisit the fundamental elements of contract formation\, including offer and acceptance\, consideration\, earnest money deposits\, and termination. The course also explores key contract clauses and contingencies\, "Time is of the Essence" provisions\, home inspections\, fixtures\, disclosures\, and the distinction between void and voidable agreements. Special attention is given to working with various buyer and seller types\, including estates\, trusts\, business entities\, and parties acting under powers of attorney\, along with proper signature authority requirements.Through discussion of common contract-related questions and real-world scenarios\, attendees will gain greater confidence in navigating multiple offers\, defaults\, deposit disputes\, disclosures\, and other contractual issues encountered in everyday practice.
