BERLIN, MD – The Coastal Association of REALTORS® (CAR) recognized six outgoing members of its Board of Directors during the Board's final meeting of the 2025–2026 leadership year, held Wednesday, October 14, 2026.

The meeting marked an opportunity to reflect on the accomplishments of the past year and express appreciation to the volunteer leaders whose time, expertise, and dedication have helped advance the Association's mission and strengthen the real estate community across Maryland's Lower Eastern Shore.

CAR President Terrence McGowan shared words of gratitude with the departing directors, acknowledging their commitment to the Association, its members, and the communities it serves.

The Association extends its sincere appreciation to the following outgoing Board members:

• Jay Doaty
• Kim Heaney
• Brianna Heiderman
• Mia McCarthy
• Melissa Geeslin, who served a one-year term as a non-voting Affiliate Director, providing valuable insight and representation for CAR's affiliate membership.
• Lauren Bunting, who concludes her Board service after progressing through the Association's leadership chairs, serving as President and most recently as Immediate Past President.

Bunting's years of leadership represent a particularly meaningful contribution to the Association. Her continued commitment through multiple leadership roles has helped provide continuity, guidance, and institutional knowledge to the Board and its members.

"The strength of our Association comes from members who are willing to step forward, share their expertise, and dedicate their time to serving others," said McGowan, CAR's 2025–2026 President. "Each of these individuals has contributed to the success of our organization, and I am sincerely grateful for their leadership, thoughtful perspectives, and commitment to our members. Their service has made a lasting difference, and we thank them for all they have given to Coastal REALTORS®."

Serving on the CAR Board of Directors is a significant volunteer commitment. Board members help guide the Association's strategic direction, support professional development and advocacy initiatives, and ensure the organization continues to serve the evolving needs of REALTORS® and affiliated industry professionals throughout Worcester, Wicomico, and Somerset Counties.

As CAR prepares to welcome its 2026–2027 Board of Directors at the upcoming Installation of Officers and Annual Awards Ceremony on October 19, the Association celebrates the contributions of its outgoing leaders and looks forward to building upon the foundation they have helped establish.
